I've been told you need to show proof of leaving Brazil when entering by plane. Is there a webisite i can book a cheap bus?

Perhaps you should rephrase your question?

You could fly to Argentina and cross the border at the Iguaza falls. 100's of backpackers do it every day.

Your return ticket will do you. You'll also need an accommodation address, although I've never been asked for proof.

I have a flight leaving Chile. So they are not strict?

They stamped my passport but that was it, they didnt look for proof of onward travel (or yellow fever vaccination even though I had been told they would def ask for that), I flew into Rio by the way.

Your only problem may be boarding your flight. Brazilian immigration is not likely to be a problem.

These are the 3 biggest bus companies in Brazil:
    http://www.autoviacao1001.com.br/en/
    http://www.viacaocometa.com.br/pt/
    http://www.itapemirim.com.br/
What is your journey? Sometimes it's better to opt for a flight...

In relation to the other question, I don't understand what you want to know...

I wasnt asked for prove at the time that i landed in Rio and I had n return flight booked at all! I dont think that they are strict about that sort of thing. I ended up getting a bus from Rio to the jungle (near bolivia) which cost 200€ :( and apparently a flight would have cost the same or cheaper!
