Hi thinking of buying a David Clark H10-76 headset. It has U-174/U mic plug. Just wondering if this headset would be suitable for a PA28 or C172.

You'll need an adapter for the military plug to allow it to work with GA avionics. Unless it's included with the headset you might want to factor in whether the cost of buying the adapter will make it more expensive than simply picking up an ordinary GA headset.
