Hi everyone and thanks in advance for helping.

I was in Monaghan Institute between 2009 and 2011 completing a Level 5 and 6 FETAC course in IT and Networking (Respective Years). I had a maintenance grant for the 2010-2011 college year. Nothing in the 2009-2010 year

I have been out of college since June 2011 and have been on Job Seekers Allowence since then, I am planning to go back to college this September to do a FETAC Level 5 course in Computer Programming in Monaghan Institute.

Would I be eligible for a BTEA and/or Grant? I cannot apply for VTOS as I am only 20.

I had applied for the BTEA for the 2010-2011 year but was rejected because I had "to be out of formal education for 6 months". (I was only out for 3 months (technically)) I don't know if that rule still applies for the 2012-2013 year.

    Thanks in advance :)

In order to qualify for btea you have to be progressing to a higher level. As you have already attained a Fetac level 6 then you would not qualify. You also have to be >21 years to qualify for 3rd level.
