    Hi all,
I dont know if this is the right place. sorry mods if it is :) But I know pretty much zilch on the subject of copyright :)

To cut a long story short. I am in the process of creating a website. I want to make sure I own the rights to the name I selected. (as it currently stands i searched the net and no one uses the name i got in mind) I'd like to own the rights to the name beyond just registering the .com

How would I go about doing so? :)

    Thanks.

Would that not be a trademark rather than copyright ???

There are lawyers and companies that specialise in this area.

You can DIY but it's a very exact "science" about what your trademark covers.
