    Mods please move if needed.

I've a bitch she's a cross between a collie and a german Shepard and was in heat up to recently.
Last week the misses goes outside and saw a fox who was up on her.
Now the question is this, is it possible for mr. Fox to impregnate my dog?
This same fox has been wrecking the place knocking over bins for scraps.
I think it's days are numbered now :D

I heard something before about it not being possible as they have a different number of chromosomes.

maybe if it was a wolf, dogs and foxes have a different number of chromosomes.

Its been reported and claims made but never heard anything official.

They may both be the canine family but its the same way fallow cant cross breed with sika.

Doesn't have to be in Ireland for dogs to breed with wolves. Was just pointing out two members of the canine family that can inter-breed.
