    Hi,

Noticed that Firefox is very slow to open on my PC tonight. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer open up immediately.

I re-installed Firefox to see if this would resolve the issie but no change.

Is it just me or is anyone else having the same experience?

Have you installed any new add-ons or have and add-ons updated themselves?

    Hi,

No, nothing new at all. Was opening fine earlier this evening. Tried system restore a whil;e gao to see if this would improve things, no joy.

Situation is; when I click on the Firefox icon on desktop nothing happens for maybe 10 seconds or so. When it does open it is perfect; no issues. Up to this evening Firefox would open the second I clicked the icon.
    - Crome and Int Explorer open immediately.

No big deal I suppose, just wondered if it was a general prob this evening for some reason.

Will check again later and see if it has reverted to 'normal' response time.

    Thanks for reply.

Sounds like an add-on thats causing the problem. Firefox is a dog at startup anyway; mine takes 10-15 seconds to open up and I only have a couple of add-ons installed.

Try disabling any add-ons and see if it starts up any quicker. If the startup time increases enable the add-ons one at a time until you find the one that is causing it to start up slowly.

Have the AniWeather add-on installed here, and think that slows the startup for this pc. But, it does give me time to settle into my am-very-comfortable-sitting-slouched-like-this-while-surfing-the-web-for-a-few-too-many-hours position, so really, shouldn't complain :D

Firefox is a local application so it won't affect people on different networks the same way.
It's like asking someone in a different country if their MS Word is slow, just because yours is. Doesn't make sense.

FF is know to lag when you have many add-ons
You can also do various things to speed PC up generally, ccleaner etc.
