Can anyone give me details on the differences between the expensive accommodation and the cheaper rooms? I can just find general stuff on the website but details are needed. Do your rooms make a real difference? How big are the modern rooms vs. cheaper ones. Hell, what colour are the walls? etc.

    Thanks:o

    Hi,

I lived in the cheaper accommodation in Trinity Halls in first year ' cunningham house'.

I lOVED IT! I'm fond of my com for but I really enjoyed it. There are 14 per facility. You have your own room but you share a shower and toilet between 7 and a kitchen between 14. It sounds hell but its really not. There are cleaners for the communal facilities which means they are constantly clean and everyone's timetables are so different I never had to wait on the shower or bathroom.

Kitchen is a bit annoying...meal time can be busy but if you plan it so your not using it at peak times its no problem.

Personally I loved it because your room was your own space. You have a spacious single bed with underbid storage, a sink, a desk a small coffee table and an armchair and a wardrobe. Because its not really apartment living you don't have to be around people all the time and yet you walk into the kitchen and you've lots of people to talk to.

I can say I never saw all of my housemates at the same time and noise was never an issue. Cunningham house always had the best parties as everyone knew each other. There were two girls houses and one boys house.

It really depends on what your looking for....if you MUST have your own bathroom so be it but otherwise there is no difference, the modern is of course modern and may look nicer but out kitchen was always cleaner than those living in modern accommodation because we had cleaners and we were conscious so many people were using it so everyone made the effort to clean.

I loved it and I'd apply for it again if I had to. I didn't want it, I was hoping for a modern room but now I'm so glad I got it and not the other way around!

I hope this helps....feel free to ask anymore questions!!
