Engineering help!!!!

    hi i am thinking about doing engineering in university but i was wondering what kind of engineering to do. i am good at maths and physics and am interested in how things like laptops and mobile phones work. which part of engineering would i be suited to??

    Years back if you did Applied Physics and Instrumentation in CIT you could after getting your Diploma, do your degree in Applied Physics and Semi Conductor Technology, 'twas discontinued I believe as so few opted for it, most folks did the degree in Applied Physics and Instrumentation too.

    Anyway, I'd have a look at similar course to that, you don't have to do engineering to work as an engineer :)

    There are similar course in Dublin :)

    The more obvious choice would be Electrical or Electronical engineering or maybe even computer science if you really like the puters. Often not a bad idea to look beyond the obvious.
