I wonder would RTE Radio 1 be interested in a win win solution for the streaming of RTE Radio 1?

I listen from overseas to RTE Radio and it eats into my data allowance as the only stream is 64kbps:mad: any chance of RTE supplying a few other streams like 24kbps and 32kbps. As I think most people who listen to RTE Radio 1 listen for the chat, this would not impede in their listening pleasure but would give them more of a chance to conserve their valuable data.

By streaming at a lower rate that must effect RTE in a good way.

BTW Dave would it be possible to extend the buffering on RTE Radio 1 as if I hit a bad signal I usually end up in having to restart the stream again.:mad:

Maybe you should PM him... although if he's a rep for RTÉ Pulse - the broadcaster's digital dance station - then he's possibly unlikely to be in a position to answer questions regarding Radio 1.

Online streaming is handled by a completely separate division in RTÉ, RTÉ Digital (formerly RTÉ Publishing Technology).
