Parallels Desktop - Booting onto the machine

Is there any way to boot onto a parallels machine (.pvm) without actually running Mac OS?? I know this is a pretty long shot but i'm just wondering, I know I could just create a bootable copy but it would be cool if I didn't have to do that.

Also, do any of you have experience with getting good performance out of the machines? Is there a way to slow Mac OS down to trickle while the machine uses all of the processor power? Again, just wondering :)

    Thanks guys

You can't boot off a disk image, so no. You'd have to convert it to Bootcamp, then you can use it both ways.

No you would have to convert it (virtual to physical) but then it would be out of sync with your virtual.

If you want full performance then actually booting into it is the only option.

Parallels can use the Bootcamp partition, so after converting it you wouldn't need the disk image anymore.

Paralells can use the bootcamp partition? Nice. Well worth doing that then.
