any bike sold for less than 80euro will more than likely need new brake pads, cables, tyres, maybe a new chain, nuts and bolts tightened etc.
your budget is unrealistic for a safe working bike.

youre comment is very much off topic , but debateable -

80 euro is a good budget for a second hand mountain bike if a standard general use mountain bike sells new for around 120 euro . this price sounds relistic to me ,as i dont have money to be throwing down the drain as i said i just wanted a working cheap runaround.

this is an wanted advert not a discussion inanyway .

please future posters only prices and pictures and location ,thanks

was just offering friendly advice, an 80euro bike will be nothing but trouble, you said you cant fix anything. 120euro new bikes are known as BSO's.

This should be good. A set of "standard general use mountain bike" wheels and tyres would cost more than 120 euro.

I would suggest Adverts.ie or Done Deal would be a better place to look .... not much tolerance around here for BSOs!

at 99 euro for something in halfords OP has a point. OP doesn't have to be pointed about it though...:)

I think there's a cycle shop between Harold's Cross road and the canal that sells dirt-cheap bikes too. They look like really rubbish bikes, but might be the best you can do.

If you don't care about the quality then why not buy the one you linked to in Halfords, its €85 today (4th May) and theres lots of 10% off vouchers for Halfords floating around making it €77

Are still looking for a cheap mountain bike or did you get sorted, I have something that would suite you some rust but generally in good working order. I will post some pictures if you are interested.
