Help getting a new car

Hi all,

Will be in the market for a used car in the next month, as I've seen a lot of these threads about advice on types of cars and found them useful thought I'd try and get some feedback on what I was looking at.
I am 23 years old, so unfortunately no powerful cars yet, and just finishing college, have my full licence for 5 years and no claims for 5 as well, budget would be max €2500 and would prefer a 1.4 petrol or low diesel.
I've been looking into 4 types of cars,

Or even a Renault Laguna: http://img2.netcarshow.com/Renault-Laguna_2.0_T_2002_800x600_wallpaper_02.jpg, but have heard bad things about their electrics.

Just looking for feedback for any other suitable cars, or feedback on problems or positives with the above cars, thanking you kindly.

Laguna's seem nice, like the look of the standard alloys on them and the interior seems pretty big which is always a plus. And they're probebly the cheapest out of the bunch, whats the 1.6 engine like on petrol do you know?
