This weekend could potentially see Real Madrid crowned champions. Madrid are 7 points ahead of Barca with 4 games remaining, so a win for them and a loss for Barca would mathematically ensure the league title returns to Mardid for the first time in 4 seasons, although it is incredibly unlikely the title will go anywhere else regardless of this morning's result.

Mourinho picks a largely unchanged side from their midweek victory, the only change sees Granero come in for Khedira.

    Casillas
    Arbeloa --- Pepe --- Ramos --- Marcelo
    Granero --- Xabi Alonso
Di Maria --- Ozil --- Ronaldo
    Benzema

    Seville starting line up;
    Varas
    Coke, Fazio, Cala, F. Navarro,
    Trochowski, Deivid
    Navas, Rakitic, Reyes
    Negredo,

In a sub plot to todays game Ronaldo will look to extend to his advantage over Messi for the Pichichi, he currently leads the race by one goal.

Going to go for a 4-1 victory to Madrid, Ronaldo with 2, Benzema and Higuain off the bench. Negredo to take the lead for Sevilla.

12 local time, Spain's an hour ahead.

La Liga are trying to tap into the Asian TV market so they've been having games in this slot all season long.

Atletico will have played 8 times in this slot by the end of the season. This is only Real Madrid's second early game.

Barca's president said at the start of the season that 'Barca aren't a club that can play before lunch' or something along those lines. Surprise, surpirse, they haven't had a single early game.

Surprised Mourinho hasn't made more changes for this to freshen things up, the team was very flat against Bayern.

Real wearing 'Get Well Soon Canales' after the Madrid player on loan at Valencia damaged ligaments midweek and consequently faces up to 6 months on the sidelines. This was him just after returning to full fitness.

Benzema and especially Ozil were expected to be dropped by the press. I'm surprised myself to see Ozil starting, he looked very flat midweek.

Negredo's not having a lot of luck is he :pac:

Shocker from Navas, good break though.

Lol, Sevilla are bottling several chances.

    Surely they'll score eventually.

Now Negredo misses a 1 on 1 after a debatable non penalty decision at the other end. Good match so far.

Very open. Just tuned in at 25min mark and Sevilla should have had 2.

Ref making up his own rules.

Lol at all the players camped on the line. Ronaldo should have just blasted it down the middle...

How did Sevilla not have anyone of the far post for that? Criminal.

4 on 2 there! Wrong choice by Ozil, should have kept it on the ground.

Maybe not.If there's no contact it's an indirect free kick.
    Didn't know that.

    It's not straightforward enough actually.
If the defender connects with him it's a penalty. It's indirect if there's no contact.

What is the obsession with contact on this forum? Raising your foot to head height is dangerous play, its an indirect free kick. Kicking someone in the head is violent conduct, the difference is INTENT, not contact.

If he connected with him it would have been a penalty, intent or not.
What planet are you on where a penalty is only given if there is intent.

    That's awful from the defender.
