Knee pain

Came back from a spin today and ever since I hopped off the bike my kneecap has been very tender, even to touch.

I've done longer spins, with more climbing in the past, although this one was a good bit faster. I felt absolutely fine while on the bike, and even at the mid way point when we stopped for coffee.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? And what causes it?

I have started cycling in the last year and have also experienced this. It could be your saddle height or cleat position. Try playing around with your saddle height or if that doesn't work it may be worthwhile looking into a professional bike fit.

Got fitted when I bought the bike back in February and have clocked up nearly 2000kms since then, and only feeling this knee pain for the first time today.

It could be that you've overdone it a bit recently maybe. Or that you are pedalling at too low a cadence.

Also your bike fit will evolve slightly over time as you do more cycling. So perhaps this is the case.

You need to see a doctor. Seeking or providing medical advice is against Boards rules

    Thanks
