Old(ish) Notes

The first, a 1939 Currency Commission of Ireland One Pound Note.
Note the text on the bottom that states, 'One Pound Sterling payable to bearer on demand in London'.

The second shot is a close-up of that text, the third shot is another oldish note.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on where these could be fairly valued.

I'm only a casual collector of banknotes but unless the 1939 one is particularly rare I should think its condition will count against it. The second signature on the later note (April 63) is that of T.K. Whitaker. When that note was printed he was already seven years in the job as Secretary of the Dept. of Finance, considered the top job in the civil service. He is still alive almost 50 years later and is now a sprightly 95!

Nah, I'm only a casual collector of notes too, only come across them cause they kinda go hand in hand with coins, like stamps and postcards. But I know little about them. Coins are more my thing, I think Anthony is the man for the notes around here.

the 1939 looks to be discoloured and with the corner missing youd be doing well to get €15 for it
the 1963 is worth very little that condition probably €2-€3
