    1. Which of the following groups usually holds the highest level of investment in equities?
    2. At the end of 2006, the largest beneficial ownership of UK shares by UK investors was held by?
    • Banks
    • Insurance Companies
    • Charities
    • Unit Trusts

I've searched a good few sources for answers to these questions but haven't found any definitive answers. Would anybody here be able to shed any light on what are most likely to be the correct solutions? My own inclination would be towards insurance companies.

I'd answer Unit Trusts as this would be their main function. Whereas the others may invest in equities, it would not be their main focus.
