i am having trouble selling my car
    This is the link
    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3123957[/IMG]

I live in fairview and i'm thinking of parking it on a main road with a sign on it.
anyone know a good place to park it around fairview with good passing trade and where it can be parked legally?
All of the good spots seem to be paid parking

i have it advertised on donedealcarzone and gumtree, any other ideas on how to sell it?

As far as I know if you try to put it on the side of the road for sale you may end up in trouble with the council. What's the point of going to all the effort of parking it somewhere for sale, instead spend that time taking more photos and adding more details. You don't show any photos of the interior seating or mention if it's leather or cloth and should ideally take photos of the engine bay, boot and more photos externally.

Your main problem with the car to sell is the NCT is up in August, this will put people off. If it was me I would withdraw it from sale and when it's May I would apply for the NCT, you can test it 3 months before so you could have it tested in June and then it will have the full 2 years NCT and a couple months spare.

I'd drop the 'October' from the header and instead put it as '2006 C200 CDI Avantgarde Auto'. The fuel type, transmission and trim spec are more important to a buyer than the month the car was registered which can be estimated anyway from the registration number.

How come the NCT expires in August if the car was registered in October?

You also don't give the situation re tax disc - expired or a few months left to run?

More photos, not sure if the engine bay is necessary but the more the merrier, especially the interior and do exterior side shots of both sides of the car to show no dents.

This is a very important piece to change straight away!

After that it's still a 2.2 diesel at the end of the day, most people with that money are stretching higher for the lower tax cars.

Be patient, it's a nicer car.

OP, you have the same car up on carzone.ie for 10,495 since 85 days ago and the NCT expires in October vs. expiring in August on the dondeal ad. There are different phone number in the two ads which would make anyone suspicious that you are a dealer with mutiple mobile phones.

A bit of consistency might help, a lot of punters look up both websites.

Can't understand anyone paying for an ad on carzone with only three photos. The photo of the front of the car on carzone is hopelessly out of focus.

I could name a few places you could park it where it would be taken off your hands fairly quickly:D

Have you had any offers? I'd have thought it wouldn't be too hard to get €8000 for that to be honest. You should lash up more pics as mentioned, especially of the interior, the interior pic at the mo is next to useless.
