West Ham -v- Hull (live on Sky Sports 2)

Southampton -v- Coventry (live on BBC1)

Hopefully an early goal for Coventry will make this interesting!

Vaz Te misses for West Ham from an open header yards from the goal!

Cmon Coventry! Good start from them. Two great chances in the first ten minutes.
Vaz Te really needed to bury that. Get the early goal and we could go on and score at will like against Brighton a few weeks back.

Nice to see Southampton coming back up. They've done really well since sacking Pardew.

Christ Coventry are so so terrible. Rolling over for them. TV's going off now.

Cardiff 1-0 down at Palace too, they really are perennial bottlers. If Boro take the lead at Watford then they'll be into the last playoff place.

He just hates teams that play in red and white strips. ;)

I think we both know the real reason he was sacked as Southampton manager ;)

I'm delighted it's Southampton coming up automatically.
I think I'd like Birmingham to come up through the playoffs for Chris Hughton.

    Who's that co-commentator on BBC?

"I was here at Southampton when they were in League 1. If you're successful the crowds will come back"

    :pac:

As I type it's 4 now. Super finish.

    Bit of an ironic surname.

    Playoffs:
    Cardiff - West Ham
    Blackpool - Birmingham.
Pity we can't play both semi finals away given our home form.
Playoff final is the same day as the Heineken Cup final in Twickenham pretty much ruling out any chance I had of getting over there for it should we get there :o

Totally deserved from Southampton, back to back promotions too.

Was hoping for Middlesbrough to sneak into 6th spot but I don't see it happening now :/

Could yet be B'pool-WHU should Milwall get a winner

Southampton should be docked 3 points for that disgraceful pitch invasion :pac:

Doing a Norwich. Happy for them , consistent for most of the season which is difficult in that league.

West Ham should have won that league at a canter though.

    Do explain...

They were only top of the league for 4 weeks of the season, compared with Southamptons 28. The scored less goals and conceded more, and their top scorers were tied with 12 goals.

Reading were deserved winners though. What a surge, having been bottom in September, and 12th in December.

I know it's League One but what a game between Sheffield United and Stevanage. Utd. have came from 2-0 down to 2-2 and there's 5 left.

The team and wage budget tbf. They should have strolled the league with that side.

    United should be ahead here.

They spent Premier League money and because of that have a wage bill that would frighten most Premier League teams. They also kept a number of what they would refer to as key players (not saying I agree) such as Green, Tomkins, Collison, Cole and signed the likes of Carew, Demel, Faye and Taylor.

If I was a West Ham I'd be absolutely raging that they didn't get automatic promotion and they should have been expecting to win that league at a canter like Newcastle did a few years ago.

If they don't get promoted through the playoffs they could easily be spending a long time down there with financial consequences, given the money they've spent.

Did his football get on your nerves? He had more movement going on that any other team in the league. If he had the money to buy a proper defense he would have a serious outfit certainly capable of a top ten finish imo.

Just look at the players that left there. Charlie Adam hasn't been a hit at Liverpool. Vaughan's done ok when he has gotten a chance but he is not a starter at Sunderland and nobody has heard from DJ Campbell since he went to QPR.

Much to the annoyance of the majority of Sunderland fans. He's far superior to Craig Gardner.
