Booked flights to Barcelona in August to spend a few days there with the family.

Planned on hiring a car and driving up to France for a week....however reading the terms and conditions of the car rental companies they don't allow travel outside of Spain or crossing of international borders.....anyone know a company that allows what I want to do?

I booked with Mullingar based agent Ann Hamill last year, we hired the car at Barcelona and travelled to France for one week, before returning it to Barcelona. I'll PM you her phone number if you wish.

We are doing the same, flying into barcelona and going to France, we are booked with hertz and they allow you to take the car to France.

    Thanks everyone.

I was looking at booking through www.travelsupermarket.co.uk and in all the terms and conditions it was no to border crossing.

Looking at the main websites there is no mention of it:confused:

Found a people carrier for a week for €199 so happy days!!
