    Right folks,

I've dumped all my car cleaners and cloths etc (they were all rubbish and wasted) and I'm on my way into Halford in Limerick tomorrow.

can anyone recommend products I'll need.

I want a good polish for silver paintwork and chrome (the paintwork is flawless as is the chrome)

    I need a good wax

I need a good window cleaner

    I need back to black

    I need alloy cleaner

    I need a good shampoo.

Basically I need everything to clean the car including a claybar etc etc but I don't want to spend a fortune either.

    Any advice

Being completely honest john, you'd be much better ordering online - better choices, generally better prices too.

If that's not an option...Best wax you can get from halfords is the autoglym HD wax kit, but it's pricey at around 60 quid

Window cleaner - autoglym fast glass, car polish for after treatment (if you want)

Back to black - don't bother. Order Gtechniq C4 trim restorer from online. Again slightly expensive but worth every penny.

Alloy cleaner - Megs wheel cleaner or autoglym engine cleaner is less abrasive. You can get better ones like IronX from online retailers.

Good shampoo - Autoglym bodywork shampoo

You'll save a small fortune ordering online being honest

Well I'm going to Halford tomorrow to buy a small set to get it shining what would you recommend?

I can get the rest later on to build the collection

Personally I'd avoid autoglym packs, you tend not to use all the items included, although the bags are awesome.

Looks like it's 3 for 2 on cleaning stuff

    To start,

    2.5L Autoglym bodywork shampoo €18.49
    Meguiars gold class wax €20.99
    500ml Autoglym fast glass €9.99
    Meguiars wheel cleaner €10.99

Wouldn't bother with the rest for now

    Sound

I don't think it needs a claybar at the minute,

    It really is like new.

Do I need anything for the chrome?

Is it real chrome or plasticy stuff? You could try autoglym super resin polish but I'm not sure if it'd be strong enough - depends on what the chrome is like.

Autosol metal polish should do the job, I'd try that tbh

I assume the side strip is real.

It feels like metal but I doubt it's too strong given the phact Rover were broke at the time

The front bumper is shyte plastic
