Sky TV box problem

I had a problem with my sky box not responding and reset it by pressing the back up button. When it came back on its working fine but theres a black band to the left and right the picture on my TV. I tried changing the picture settings in the SKY box to 16:9 but it made no difference. Anyone had this problem before and…
