Scrunch, crunch

    Hello,

It seems my car is developing more noises each week.

This week I have a metallic scrunch or crunch type of noise when the car sets off, when idling in 2nd gear and you dab the go pedal you can hear this noise when the car speeds up and then when it decelerates back to idle.

It can be the case that if I pull off and hear it, then idle and freewheel back to a stop that when I pull off again that I wont hear anything. Then when I brake or more directly, when I slam on and stop the noise comes back when I pull off again.

There are also random "twang" sounds, as if you have hit a spring sharply. It has that kind of resonance to it. These are new sounds to the ones I had which I have already asked about here.

I was chatting to someone and he seems to think its a spring that is not seated properly. The shock tops were done very recently. That would make sense in my mind.

If it is the case, any easy fix?

    Thanks
    bbk

It was bent metal which had been pressing against the wishbone at the front bush.
