I see that acccording to FJ that Libya will open shortly they will be requireing beef from dairy stock 550 kg liveweight and will pay 2 euro/kgs ex farmgate.
If that is so O= and O+ cattle good British Freisian, whiteheads and Angus will have a floor of 1000-1100 euro @500-550kgs. Will this put a floor under cattle prices. Now I know it might be pie in the sky but I think that Lebonnen was going to pays something similar for Dairy bread bulls but we have not started to export yet.
At this price it would not pay to finish these animals to 710 kgs liveweight killing out 370 kgs @ 3.8/Kg =1400 euro over the winter.
Will this put a floor under the factory prices
