I'm selling my brand new 105 5750 Compact chainset, arm length 175.

I just got a Canyon Roadlite 6 delivered yesterday and it came with a 105 Compact chainset but I wanted a standard double. So immediatly took it off (you may have seen my question in the Camper Van asking how to get it off!) and fitted the standard double I bought on CRC.

Therefore this one's for sale. There isn't a scratch on it and pedals haven't gone near it. This will get you up those climbs a bit easier!

    Price €120.

Don't suppose you'd have interest in an exchange/part-exchange for this...

    Ultegra standard double
It is in excellent condition - I have a BB6500 to go with it.

Standard has a 53/39 ratio, a compact usually has 50/34.

Compact chainrings are smaller than standard meaning that it can be somewhat easier to keep cadence (pedal spinning) when the road goes skyward. Compact chainrings would normally be the choice for sportives although some cyclists perfer to spin at a high cadence on the flat too.

Compact chainsets are becoming the norm on many entry level bikes now I have found. Having said this I vaguely remember hearing the Wiggins et al used a compact for a few mountain stages in the TdF last year which would be far from entry level ;).
