    Hi all, until last week I drove a 2002 1.8ltr 406 saloon.

I had this car from new and loved it, however last weekend I was hit from behind in traffic and my car was written off.

    I am now set to buy another 406 - a 2004 2ltr diesel saloon

However I rang the seller earlier and he said there are no isofix points in the backseat. I a very confused as I had these in my own which was 2 years older than this one. I am worried this might be a crashed car as I can't think of any other reason the isofix points would not be there.

Could anyone give me some info? Is it possible a 2004 406 does not have these points?

    Many thanks in advance,

Just to add, I have a little baby so safety is obviously very important here. Thanks

Can you check to see if the car is a UK import? The car you linked to in the other thread was listed as 'Rapier' trim - that was a UK spec level but may have been used here on special edition models. Worth a check anyway.

If you have the reg number you can run a check on the Cartell or Mywheels websites. The dealer should be able to answer the question also...

Is there a chance he doesnt even know there's an isofix link burried under the back seat?

Else, imported car with different spec - unlikely?

Thanks so much for the replies car was sold by a sister garage in cork do its not a uk import according to the dealer.

Also, there was a rip in the back seat so he got the mechanic to take it out to get it sewn, he said there's definitely no ISo fix.

I'm totally confused.I have searched the net but can't seem to find if it was standard in the 2004 model.
