Big fan of these guys as people and musically, looking forward to the new album. Anyone else like them?

I'm a massive fan. Ordered the deluxe edition of the new album. Would love to see them play a small Irish tour. They said they'd always wanted to but couldn't afford it but that there is no reason why they shouldn't now (since Ignore the Ignorant).

I saw them in Edinburgh in 2007 and it was probably the most riotous gig I've experienced.

Got into them with their last 2 records, really good guitar music. I see Johnny Marr has left them though, thats a pity.

Was going to do the same with the album, saw you can get signed stuff with it, good price too. God, they must have been brilliant live! Would love to see them

They're deadly live. If you get a chance see them in Scotland or England do. Irish crowds don't give the same mayhem as shows over there. Gaining Marr made them a tighter live band, losing him wont do much damage. They worked brilliantly in studio/live with or without him.

Saw them at Oxegen 07 and they were absolutely brilliant

Lost interest when Marr came on board though, hated that album

Yeah, I like them. Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever is one of the best albums from the last decade.

I'm surprised by people who got turned off by Marr joining them. It happened a friend of mine. It's not that he didn't so much like the songs but thought they began to sound too clean instead of rough. Some of the songs off that album are my favourites of theirs. Last Years Snow, We Were Aborted and City of Bugs are amazing songs.

Not that i don't like Marr, I do like The Smiths and him, I just prefer them as a band without him. Anyone heard any of the new songs? Album is out May 7th

3 or 4 songs. Definitely a return to punkier, rougher roots.

Recently gotten into Ignore The Ignorant, the only Cribs album I had yet to really listen to. Don't get what people's problem is. It's a bit tidier and formal but still some great songs.

Just had a listen to the new album. It's pretty good. Nowhere near as good as their third album but probably on par with Ignore The Ignorant.

My prayers have been answered. The Cribs announced for Marlay Park on August 23rd alongside Noel Gallagher (love the guy, saw him in the O2 in Feb) and Kasabian (not a huge fan but still)! Tickets onsale Friday at 9am

I'm missingthis because I'll be on holiday. That's this gig, Santigold & Childish Gambino I'm missing all in a row:(

hopefully they'll do a standalone gig around oct/nov/dec

I guess we can't expect much of a crowd in for them, as most will hold out for N.G and Kasabian, which will kind of give the gig a weird atmosphere...
