Has anyone here had any luck getting Apple to fix a machine over one year old? According to EU statutory law they should fix it if the defect was present when the machine was purchased.

    How do I prove this?

Any Apple Service provider will be able to sort you out on this.

Afaik if it's an internal component (like a logic board) a court won't expect you to prove it was faulty when you got it.

Also, the Irlsh Sale of Goods Act provides a bit more protection than the EU directive which is really just a minimum that applies in all countries.
