    Seen them in use in a pub. Personally I think they're a great idea. Pros and cons from my own point of view (don't know if you are installing for a domestic or business situation but should do for both).

    Pros :
    * Reduced water usage (handy when water metering comes our way)
    * Eco friendly
    * No smell
    * No noise from auto flush
    * More sanitary

    Cons :
    * Costly to install (don't have personal knowledge of cost so heresay)
    * Cost to upkeep (Refills of gels, liquids etc)
    * Slightly bigger than normal urinals so hope you have space

    there is only two of them its in a grave yard they are being killed with water bills the Urinals are flushing constantly i replaced the syhon today and they are still flushing so i think its the drip feed that needs adjusting because it a good flow going in to cistern...i seen them for sale in cork nearly e500 $$$$

    I am not taking the piss but They seem good.

    Two advantages straight away.

    1. No water charges

    2. If they are vandalised no flooding.

    Disadvantage

    1. I am prity sure the manufacturer says you cannot use chemicals to clean them because it interferes with the working of the trap.

    2. Education is required of the person who needs to change the trap.

    3. The traps cost money.

    Check out brwaterless urinals, Sligo, they sell the original system which works really simply and fortunately does not give any problems.
    They start at well under the €350 mentioned above and the replacement cartridges are under €10.
    Nice guys to deal with.

    Fit Solonide on water supply / connected to lights. Only on if toilets are in use with lights. Very little usage from residents I expect !

    Or a push button supply to urinal.

    Fitted them in a hurling club before. Also put up a sign next to it saying "Do Not Push"
    Flushing perfectly ever since and low water consumption.!!
