Is there an app for the desktop that allows you to type out and send sms's from your pc while the phone is connected to it?

I remember using my N95 in this way years ago and found if very useful, especially when working at the computer and having to pick up the phone an type out a long sms reply.

Probably isn't anything available though for android, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyways.

    Cheers.

This was to be my next suggestion, after losing my commision from MPE :p

And of course, put Cabbage on your phone too, take advantage of those free web texts for all Irish Networks!!!

Hope this helps, but MPE is good, try it out, for the crack!!!

    Installed it, and fully agree!!!!

    +100

BTW, also uninstalled MPE, outdated now, very little support...

Of course, all Mobile Services have their own Web-texting pages, so Cabbage or Jellysms are not really necessary on your laptop or PC, but good for better interface, and if you use more than one Service Provider.

Another vote for Airdroid. Allows you to send texts, as well as sync files between your phone and computer. Very handy.

I use Mighty Text and like it just fine.

Only works with Chrome at the moment.
