    Looking at buying a small 4/5 door car. 08. budget about 8k
    So far I've seen the following and would appreciate any input :
    Good :: Bad :: indifferent

    Renualt Clio (2010) 1.1
    Kia Rio hatchback (08) 1.4
    Kia Ceed (08) 1.4
    Fiat bravo (08/09) 1.4
    Cit C4 (08) 1.6

    All in around the same price, similar mileage, and unfortunately, all petrol. Is it worth spending another k for diesel?

    I do a combo of motorway & city driving. About 400km a week. Childs car seat in the back so need a bit of space for manouvering and decent boot.
    Im looking for fuel effiency - any recommendations on good sites to check MPG?

    Cheers

    The Clio and Rio are a segment below the Ce'ed, Bravo and C4. The Megane would be Renaults equivelant.

    The 1.2 in the Clio is a tad small if your on motorays a lot. You wont get great mileage doing 120 in it.

    I learned to drive in a C4 and still have fond memories of it.
