Why has main access to the beach in Tullan been allowed to erode to the point of where it is now a danger to walk down?

Considering how many people travel to the town to use the beach, why haven't the council ever invested money into its upkeep?

As in most cases with the council, they nerver seem to have the foresight or initiative to fix something until it is broken.

Bundoran was on that tidy towns show <snip> on RTE1 last night. The locals seemed to have spent a recent weekend cleaning the place up and painting over abandoned units on the main street. Looked like a nice job when it was finished although I havent been through it recently to see what it actually looks like in real life.
