Alfa alloys

Considering buying a black 159. Only problem is I really don't like the alloys on the majority of the cars online and would consider changing them and changing the break callipers to red alfa ones also.

How much would I be looking at to change to another set of alfa alloys say 17", and the callipers. I presume an alfa dealer would be able to do this but I'd prefer to try source them cheaper myself.

Any one any idea how much i should be setting aside for this.

An Alfa dealer will charge you the bones of €1000 if not more for the alloys (with no tyres) and you could say the same again for calipers, even more if they're painted.

Price them both through owners clubs and forums but you won't have much change out of a grand I'd say, even 1500 by the time you include tyres and fitting for the calipers

You could always get nice alloys and respray the calipers

I did this to my black 159 shortly after I bought it, got the callipers resprayed think that was €150, bought 17" alloys in a scrappy in Mullingar for €250-300 off a crashed one, and bought the calliper decals on ebay for €10! it can be done on a budget, start ringing around!

Next time you want to paint calipers contact me and Ill only charge EUR100. Red Caliper paint is is EUR15.99 and a child could paint it on.

On the wheels you did ok, OP can pick up Alfa wheels used on DD or Alfa Owners forums no problem for around EUR300 or less.

The Ti spec calipers & (18/19 inch) wheels will set you back 2k. Unless you go down route as described above..

Well wear with you new Alfa! ;)

Cheers for that, They look similar to the alloys i'm looking for.
Lovely looking car by the way exactly the same as the type of one I want to buy.

I haven't found the car I want to buy yet but at least if i know I can get the alloys changed cheaply then it opens up the options a bit.

    Cheers guys

Try and get the 159 Ti spec multispokes or horseshoes. They look superb.

As for the brake calipers, if you want the geuine Brembos used be prepared to fork out a lot of money! I painted mine myself and happy enough with it.

Don't forget with brembos you need discs, pads, different brake lines, possibly a bigger master cylinder... A lot of money!!!

Keep hunting the scrappies for a set of TI wheels, a set is bound to turn up sooner or later :)
