You can buy similar tablets here, get 2 years gaurantee, i would not buy
a pc or tablet from a usa website, you are not saving much money,
you have to pay customs fee,vat,21per cent, currency charges,
pcworld powercity have good archos tablets TEN INCH,screen,199euro ,7 hours battery life.
i know 4 people that use archos 101, very good ten inch,screen,7hours battery life,
the ampe is only 8inch screen.you,ll likely get 4 hours battery life.

Most of the electronics form these sites are of a sub standard to what would be available here.
If it is running an android OS there should be no issue getting the apps for that version of the Android OS.
Import duties and taxes will also be payable on items over the value of €22 when purchased outside the EU, meaning this may cost you more than you think for a substandard tablet.
Check around a few local stores and online within the EU and you should pick up a better on for a few quid extra. Even try Adverts.ie or a good second hand one, but look out for these dodgy ones available here as well.

if YOU buy a brand x tablet ,from a random .com usa website, you,ll end up with a mediocre tablet, theres plenty of 8 inch or ten inch
tablets,150 to 200euro in the good shops, and you are helping the local economy.
And the money you save is maybe 30 euro,it makes no sense.
i wont even look at a tablet thats less than 150 euro,a cheap 100 euro tablet will stop working after 9months,or have an awful screen.

think the 101 is a great tab for the money but the materials used for the screen is cheap plastic really but perfect otherwise

Cheers folks for all your help - really appreciated. I managed to buy a Archos 10 from a cousin of mine. It was an unwanted gift. New - still in the packaging. Only one problem - when I try to go online & type on the keyboard it keeps flickering up 2 menus as if there was something irritating the keyboard. Also when I go online the page keeps zooming in & out & I'm not even touching the screen !! Any suggestions ??
    & Thanks again.
