    Hi,
I was just wondering have ye any information regarding the mortgage relief changes in the budget 2012 for buyers 2007-2011?Im not sure if its the bank or revenue to make the changes but iv'e heard nothing from either. Will payments be back dated to the start date of the mortgage or just back to Jan 12?what sort of differences can mortgage holders expect,ie could you give a few examples if ye have the info to hand please?when can we expect the changes to take place?
    thank you

    Hi howyanow,

The changes themselves are being made by Revenue but do require cooperation with the mortgage holding banks. As of today Revenue are expecting the changes to come into place around May/June of this year. The payments themselves will be backdated to Jan 2012.

Sorry I wouldn't be able to give you any examples as the changes affecting customers would be account specific. You would need to contact Revenue directly to find out how they will affect you.

You can find out more info here or you can contact Revenue's TRS helpline on 1890 46 36 26. Just be sure to have your PPS number to hand.

    Hope this helps
    Pat
