Folks,

Just looking for a bit of advice. Amazon.com are doing a decent sale on Invicta watches at the moment and I was thinking of buying one for the wife. Anyway, long story short are they any use?
They both have a Swiss movement and are not bad looking watches. I'm leaning towards the chronograph myself as it'll compliment the Aquaracer I wear myself.

The Amazon prices for watches are pure fiction. The prices for Seikos are routinely 3X what you would pay elsewhere. I'd be surprised if this Invicta 'sale' was any different.

As to the watches, they are ok, just about. You can do better for your money I would say. I bought an Invicta 8296 as my first unnecessary watch - it got a few marks, the Miyota movement did a few odd things and now it sits in pieces in a box somewhere, unlamented.

Oh, I wouldn't put any particular value on 'Swiss' quartz movements at this price level either. Or perhaps any price level, come to think of it.
