    hello there
I have a problem with the heating system in the house.
The boiler was serviced in january and the man said every thing was fine.
The heating seems to work when it feels like it.
It is Gas central heating and the boiler is up in the cupboard with the two valves .
the heating is working upstairs but not down and I am freezing here.
Please if someone can give some advice that would be great
    Thank you

You probably need a new actuator for the down stairs circuit , make sure your room stat is turned up , on the actuator you will see a lever which you can slide from manual to auto , slide it to manual , doin this should give you heat until you get it replaced

Good stuff , it shouldn't cost too much to sort out , it doesn't involve draining down your system .

    hello again
I was hoping someone might know why the toilet downstairs in house takes forever to fill up and flush.
There is a trickle of a drip coming from the toilet but when flushing it only flushes a little .
I would be grateful to anyone who knows anything here
    Thanks

Sounds like ballvalve orifice is blocked or the washer needs replacing and the syphon also needs replacing .

Would I be able to fix it myself or is it for a professional?
    Thanks for the reply
