Went to the Dawn Service today. Lots of people there, considering we are not a large town.

Shooting in very low light so used to 50mm f1.4. Pushed the ISO right up.

Was not happy with some of the earlier stuff. Then after the service was over I got chatting with Ken. He had the medals but was understated, so I grabbed a few shots of him. I like the ones below. Not sure about colour or mono.

Think I prefer the colour version. Even with the noise.

What shutter speed and ISO? I would have thought that a 50mm @ 1.4 with a decent shutter speed would have reduced the need to ramp up the ISO to a point where it became noisy?

f1.4 and 1/80th sec at ISO 1600 (from the Exif)

It was VERY dark, even at these settings it was still slightly underexposed. A Full Frame sensor would have made a big difference.
