    Hello,

I am currently doing an essay for college (related to health) and came across SPHE as part of my research. This wasnt around when I was in school. So I have a couple of questions on it:

    1) Is it compulsory?
    2) Does every school offer it?
    3) Is it an exam subject?

    Thanks for your help

Fairly certain it is compulsory and that every school does it but no, it's not an exam subject.

1.Yes it has been compulsory for all schools since 2003.
Schools are obliged to have a policy about it.

    2. All schools are supposed to cover it in some way. Some do it within religion classes.

    3. It is not yet a subject for assessment, but there are plans afoot.

I was unaware of this.. As a school in my locality does not do the subject..

Also, speaking on behalf of my OWN SPHE class, we don't do SPHE we just watch documentaries on 4OD..

    3) no its not an exam subject

It's basically meant to be talking us through secondary school without getting overly stressed out
