Ive noticed over the last few weeks that my 99 Civics steering isnt as "tight" as it should be. Im not sure if i can explain it correctly, but i can turn the steering wheel quite a bit before the tyres actually move. Im wondering if its a loose steering column or tracking. Any ideas? It just doesnt feel steady or secure when driving which is worrying.

Impossible to tell where it's loose. Just hop into some garage for inspection. They should be able to tell where it's loose in a minute.
