    Hi, I was wondering has anyone had their wedding at the Four Seasons Carlingford recently or been at a wedding there? THinking of booking it as it has a great package but Ive heard conflicting reports over the past wee while.

    Hi there
    I was at a wedding there a few years and people were unhappy with the food.
    Personally I was unhappy with the condition of the room and we were charged handsomely for it. Shabby (not chic) furniture, peeling paint...
    My sister stayed there a few months ago for a romantic night away and asked for a quiet room. The room wasnt ready when they checked in, there was a party in the room next door (and when they phoned the lobby) nothing was done about it, and they wre unhappy with the breakfast the next morning.
    In fairness, its few years since I was there at a wedding. What we did with a lot of the venues were were interested in, was stay there a night and not tell the hotel why we were there. We discounted 3 venues from having stayed there.

    I stayed there for a night to sus it out for our wedding. Rooms weren't great..... carpet was coming up in our room. The carpets needed a hoover in the hallways.
    We also waited for an hour to try and order our dessert after finishing our main course. In the end we just had to get up and ask for the bill. Service wasn't great and all who were in the restaurant seemed upset. The couple beside us had their steaks brought to their table and then waited 10 mins for their veg etc. Inevitably their steaks were cold.
    We spoke to the manager the following day and aired our concerns regarding the service in the restaurant. His response was that the restaurant was nothing but trouble for them. He didn't even apologise.
    I wasn't impressed with the hotel overall, althogh this is only my opinion.u
