Been a week since Interview(Part-Time)

    Hey,
I had a job interview(part-time retail) this time last week, but I've still got no word. I was enthusiastic and actually felt really good leaving the interview. There was a few interviews held but I know that its hard enough to call get called for an interview for this store because I've applied but to no avail on numerous occasions. I was even asked if I would be able to work in any of the other branches in the locality because there is openings, and I said I would be.

But a week on and still no word. Its a job I'd actually really like and would be disappointed not to get it. I followed up with an e-mail thanking for the interview(I genuinely did think it was a good interview, one of the best I've had) but got no reply from that(I can understand that because to them that's just a formality)

So I'm worried, do you think a week is too long? Has anyone had any experience with a similar well known wine retailer? ;) How long did you hear back in? If unsuccessful did they notify you of this.
    Thanks
    C

I'd go in and ask about it.
I was offered a job in Smyths for Christmas and they told me they'd call with a start date. 2 weeks later I had no call, so I just went in and asked.

    Started the next day :)

It was more a HR Person for the entire company(or least southside area) that conducted the interview, rather than individual store manager, and I can't find any number for HR anywhere. I could e-mail I guess, but I might do it under a different e-mail. I just get the impression badgering them won't work out, they obviously feel they have a time in place to make decision.
    I'm worried :(

How would e-mailing them from a different e-mail address be any different? It would still be you writing the e-mail! Unless you pretended to be someone anonymous and say I was just browsing away on the internet and thought I would inquire if Your Name was successful in the interview? Would be a bit weird like. :D

I'm waiting on whether I've been successful for an interview myself. I just wait it out though. If they want me, they'll contact me.

The way I see it, every day they don't call is a days potential wages lost.

If you ask for a follow up on the interview and they don't want you, they'll say no, so at least you have an answer.

If they do want you, they're not going to change their minds just because you popped in to say hello, or sent them an email.
