    I just had my old steel frame powdercoated. does anybody know what kind of lacquer i could use over powdercoating? I want to put the decals on. i emailed the people who did the job but they haven't replied to me

    If you don't have spray painting equipment then what about clear lacquer available in spray cans from the local car spares shop (or Halfords).

    Would you not ring them and ask?
    Cant imagine these guys would be I.T guys sitting at their laptops all day.if its like our place they will be drinking tea all day looking at the latest pic of Georgia Salpa in the Sun.:)

    By the way what steel frame is it?

    I'd say most clear lacquers would do. Any decent motor factors would have them.

    Do you mind me asking the details on the powder coat (price, quality)? I've a frame on the list to be done.

    i did try ringing a couple of times but they must have been busy as no answer. ill try again i suppose. its a Columbus, early 90's. tommasini.

    i have some of the halfords clear lacquer. im just nervous in case it ruins the paint job. i thought there might be a special type required for powdercoated steel

    It cost me €100 for two colours. Top quality i couldn't have asked for better.
