    Since the takeover by Musgraves, Superquinn have become extremely competitive. Some of their offers are quite brilliant and the prices on the everyday stuff is almost always on par with Tesco.

    But best of all its a pleasant place to shop.

    Agree - Superquinn do have great bargains & I'm the type who stocks up on bargains in detergents and food stuff that has a long shelf life if I see them for cheap!

    Was in superquinn Lucan today best value i seen was two litres of coke and sprite for €2. .50c a litre not bad.

    Thats one thing about SQ that annoys me, a lot of their offers seem to be at the whim of local managers?
    Also I'd say that coke is close to it's sell by date

    Dunnes stores have 2l coke etc. for €2•39 or 2x2l for €2•50. Mad.

    Em, I work in Superquinn and trust me, no offers are "at the whim of local managers" Now it's possible that it's either a mistake on the sign or if they were approaching their sell by date that they would reduce them, not in this fashion however. I was in work last night and didn't see this offer FWIW...
