Where to go in October

    we are planning to go on a sun holiday in October. I know its very early to be looking but i want it clear in my head where we are going first.

    Want somewhere warm but not too long of a flight-- any ideas please:)

    We went to Kalkan in Turkey last week of September first week of October a few years ago. Brilliant weather (think it rained once for about half an hour in two weeks) - temp above thirty most days, cool in the evening, but nothing a jumper wouldn't handle eating on rooftop restaurants. Great food, nice people, quite a lot to see and do. Would heartily recomend with the caveat that if you are going later than first week of October, get a feel for when the season ends.

    Most years I take my sun holidays around Sept/ October. Some places I have been in theses months are Tenerife, Puerto Rico, Lanzarote & Fuerteventuara. All in the Canary Islands. The Canaries have a good climate at this time not too hot and not too cold. Although most of the places are similar it depends on what you are looking for? Wherever you choose enjoy! I can't wait for September myself for my sun holiday! :-)

    Have been to puerto rico (canaries) in October and it was fantastic weather. Plenty to do daily and nightly. The only issue are the steps!

    Have done Sharm, Egypt in November and it was still boiling hot so would be same in October. Nice place to just chill out but not a whole lot to do.

    Have been to Kusadassi, Turkey and LOVED it. (was there last week but weather was great and I have been told it is similar weather in october) plenty to do, food fantastic and it was dirt cheap!
