    Hi,

Having an issue regarding one exchange account. The account is Office365, hosted on the cloud, and using Outlook 2010.

The sender is sending and receiving emails fine, no errors through Outlook or in EventLogs, but intermittantly (maybe one in every 2 emails, or more..), his account will send a blank email directly after he sends an email to a recipient. The blank email shows up in sent items, and it also occurs with meeting requests.

I have setup a new profile for this user in Outlook and this did not help. The only suggestions I could find on Google were got to do with HTML formatting in emails, but this is in regards to just emails ''appearing'' blank, rather than an extra email being sent.

Have u approached your Cloud IT Support !?

Also, try creating a new user profile on the desktop and then a new Outlook Profile. As a temp measure to test his current profile.
Setup that all emails are going as plain text or rich text rather than HTML.
Open that "unwanted sent" email and check the internet headers, see where is coming from and where is going to !

Have you scanned for World Wide Malware !?

Not a fix but you could always create a rule for then the subject line and contents are empty to send to a particular folder..

My exchange guys have never heard of it, Sorry

That's a good idea, going to set that up until I find a fix. It's a strange one alright, don't think it's related to formatting or anything like that.

You've to determine whether it's Outlook or the Exchange server.
Does the issue occur when the user uses Office365's Outlook Web Access or Exchange Web Services?

Any 3rd party addins installed in Outlook?
You've tries the safe modes in Outlook to check and clear server rules?
/safe Starts Outlook without the Reading Pane or toolbar customizations. Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off.
/safe:1 Starts Outlook with the Reading Pane off.
/safe:3 Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off.

/cleanserverrules Starts Outlook and deletes server-based rules.
/cleanclientrules Starts Outlook and deletes client-based rules.

Does the blank mail show up when you connect to the server and use message tracking?
