Paddy Power maximum bet?

I just opened an account on the Paddy Power website as I'm planning to do a few bets for tomorrow. Is there a maximum deposit allowed for a first time customer could I for example put down €1,000 on my account by debit card?

You can deposit any amount up to the limits they have set on certain cards, which is very high anyway.

But your bet limits may be adjusted by Paddy Powers, especially if they see you as a threat, and as such would limit what you can bet.

As long as you lose regularily you won't have any trouble getting decent sized bets on. If you win on a regular basis you will be lucky to get a tenner on, if they don't close your account that is.

That would make sense from their point of view. If I placed a bet and was due a pay out would they be obliged to honour it, or can they change my bet before the event takes place?

A bookie is never obliged to pay out, a bet is a gentlemans agreement rather than a legal transaction. In practical terms, if they have an issue with your bet they will refuse your bet or offer to lay a lower stake beforehand.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

Best advice is to paper trade for a while and learn what works and what doesn't.

Friend I hope you didn't bet on Barcelona to win or to qualify for the final.

Don't want to be funny but gamble sensibly.

Funny enough I bet on Chelsea to go through.

I hope it was a maximum bet in that case.

I wouldn't mind seeing a screenshot of the maximum stake bet on chelsea in the after timing thread.

Nobody said it was a maximum bet.
