    I know almost squat about airsoft but understand the 1 jouel rule.
    My questionis what is the difference between electric and spring guns etc.
    Any help would be great.

    An AEG (automatic electric gun) is powered by a battery that works the spring and other internals for you. A spring-powered gun requires you to reset the spring yourself using, for example, the bolt on a bolt-action rifle.
