toyota avensis ignition lock change

    i have to change steering column on my avensis, i got one with ignition lock and key with white box underneath ignition lock. when ill change that column, what next ? will my car start with new key, or something needs to be done with ecu to accept that key ?

    it is worn, well... it work, but i dont like how it work, also not fancy carry 2 keys around. one to unlock car, other start car.
    even if ill change barrel, immobilizer wont work right.

    If you use the original barrell for your car why wouldn't it work?
