Image Management with Windows 7

For years I used the ACDSee suite to manage my collection of photographs and to do some very light image editing (usually with poor results!).

I'm now using my new system with Windows 7, and ACDSee is not compatible with the O/S. So I am looking for a package to take its place. The main requirements are that I can have a good album facility and simple image editing tools.

I don't mind paying a little, provided that I can satisfy myself first that I like the software, so shareware or trialware might suit (and I certainly would not rule out freeware).

I would be grateful for recommendations.

XnView or IrfanView... both fit the bill.

Both programs are free, also available as portable versions.

(Personally, I like Xn better, but there isn't really much between the two)
