    Hi I am thinking about buying a Jetta 1.9 TDI SE anyone have anything good or bad to say before I make my final choice.

    I quite like them when they're well specced, they're a nicely styled car, they're basically a golf with a boot, which despite a lot of negative opinions because of that ~ isn't a bad thing really.
    The 1.9 engine is fairly proven in the last 20 years, no common rail gubbins to go wrong

    Also consider the skoda octavia as they're very similar in size and dna.

    It'd be my choice of smaller saloon if you consider its rivals to be the focus astra and corolla.

    SE is UK spec and similar to the Comfortline sold here. The Jetta is also build in South Africa. Since it is a UK car i should have a full service history with it, if is missing then assume the worst and walk away.

    Boot on the Jetta is actually bigger than the Passat, fact fans..

    What's your budget? A4 isn't much better a car really, just more flash and expensive

    You will get more Jetta for your money than A4.
